From the Desk of…
Didn’t I just write one of these? Is it really Wednesday again? Target is caving in to right-wing terrorism after numerous threats to the safety of its employees over - you guessed it - Pride Month merchandise. It’s really cool that there’s, like, no recourse for this. We just have to live in a world of homegrown violent extremists now. A Tim McVeigh on every street corner! Now, now, I should probably tamp down rhetoric like that. There’s probably already some fed compiling these and calling them a manifesto. Hello to you too! Let’s talk about whales. Let’s talk about White Gladis, the orca who has assembled a squad to attack yachts. Animals are so intelligent. You know, in some ways, I think they might be smarter than we are. I know pigs are. They can’t look up and they have the Guinness Record for Longest Orgasm in Mammals. So much we can learn from the animal kingdom. Well, specific animals. Don’t take any lessons from ducks. Ah, nuts to this, I’m just going to become a wickie and log off forever.
Happy birthday to war criminal Henry Kissinger (100)! Maybe he could try a little “Italian secret” at Carsonie’s to celebrate.

Trying to cut down on the Zelda content. Not working! Just making for a shorter newsletter.
At the Movies
Watching like six short films in the course of an hour really upped the numbers this week.
Time Bandits (1981), dir. Terry Gilliam ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ❤️
You know your movie is successful when a bunch of other movies aren't influenced by it but rather just try to rip it off directly.
Not quite anti-capitalist... but definitely anti-consumerist. Very Dahl.
Parents just don't understand.
XX (2017), dirs. Karyn Kusama, Jovanka Vuckovic, Roxanne Benjamin, St. Vincent ⭐⭐⭐⭐
More stylish than scary. Some decent segments. I admire its idea. Melanie Lynskey awooga
The Fall of Communism as Seen in Gay Pornography (1998), dir. William E. Jones ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ❤️
"...why does he want to participate in a porno movie?" "The money." "Oh, the money! Yes, well, that's a very good reason."
I wonder how many hours of footage the director had to go through in order to cut this together. I can see it being a lot... and I can also see it being very few. I'm always a sucker for documentaries like this, just sort of putting the footage together and letting the juxtaposition tell the stories. Adam Curtis does this sometimes, and I also think about Spin. Man, that dude checking out the teeth is really something. Less graphic than I was expecting!
A solemn and respectful Memorial Day to all imperialist stooges who gave their lives to enable the exploitation of these men by the carrion vultures of the capitalist West.
Might go check out some Jim Henson puppets this weekend. I said MIGHT.
One Picture
I’m always saying this.
In closing,
I have got to start catching up on the unpaid work that I also have to do. Like posting. Posting is a job. The posts are my corn. Can’t wait to figure out what the new ITYSL memes are. 55 BURGERS 55 FRIES
